Even the best stylists have scary hairy stories. Most of us have lived through a frightening event with our hair. Sometimes it’s a special occasion or just wanting to change things up a bit….Always know we are always here to help you through it! We’ve been there!
In Junior high school I had my hair permed and it only lasted 2 weeks so I had it re-permed. This time it took and my hair was a giant frizz ball with only a “not so nice” kink to it. I looked like a POODLE!!
Lesson learned: youth hair is unpredictable and can’t be guaranteed.
One time I wanted Fire Truck Red Hair! I went to Walmart and bought an off the shelf product. I lightened my hair out and applied the color….Hmmmm…I ended up with orange/ pink/ black/ cheetah colored hair. The lightener had also fried my curly hair straight so I colored it back brown. I got a perm at a local salon. I ended up with some pretty crazy, colored, matted up, completely shot hair.
The next week I had to cut 10 inches off just to get a brush through it.
Lesson: at home color is VERY unpredictable! AND hair history matters, the stylist should have never done the perm due to the damage caused by the color!
I had waist long, straight blonde hair in 8th grade. I twisted a comb in my bangs to the point that it was completely stuck. For some reason, I thought it was a good idea to just cut the comb out…. I was left with a 3 inch chunk out of my hair and had to have it all cut off to blend it out. Auughhh!!! Teenagers!
Lesson: ASK FOR HELP! Conditioner or oil does wonders to remove a stuck brush.
